BS1804 Extractable Dowel Pins
You need to be logged in to see prices.Hardened & Ground Extractable Dowels produced in line with BS1804 are offered in both inch and metric sizes to a precise interference fit.
Metric sizes are produced to BS1804 Part 3 Type B with an air release flat as standard. Inch sizes are offered across the range with a diameter tolerance of +0.0001"" to +0.0003"". We do not automatically apply a provision for air release flats on inch sizes, this needs to be requested at the point of enquiry.
Our metric size range is from 3mm up to 25mm diameter and are produced to an interference fit ‘m6’ tolerance band which is explained more clearly in the chart below.

Our standard inch size range is from 1/4"" up to 3/4"" diameter and our preferred material is Case Hardened Mild Steel. These do not usually have air release flats. If you require air release flat on inch Extractable Dowels, please enquire.

Our preferred material for Metric Extractable Dowels has more recently moved towards a Through Hardened Alloy 1.3505 (100Cr6) hardened to HRC58-64 rather than Case Hardened Mild Steel simply due to customer demand.
